Dog Eat Diogenes is a short memoir about a tech worker who survived workplace mistreatment, but experienced a severe mental health crisis in the process. It’s supported by primary sources, secondary sources, and medical literature. This project is not an excuse for what I did, just an attempt to understand it so others can avoid the same path. It documents how chronic humiliation, stress, and low status can engender more serious mental health problems. The memoir also offers hope that these conditions (and their consequences) are survivable.
